Karens Therapy Room

What I Offer

There is a warm, confidential and welcoming space waiting for you, where you’ll be able to explore your issues or difficulties. You will feel respected, understood and valued, and we will work together towards the change you want in your life.

I have an integrative approach using that of psychoanalytic psychotherapy approach, which draws on the theories and practices of analytical psychology and psychotherapy, combining these with practical skills and techniques that have been cultivated over many years, from working in the NHS and the private sector.

This, therapeutic process supports you to think, develop understanding and resolve your issues by increasing awareness of your inner world and its influence over relationships, both past and present. It is normal for us all to experience a range of different and sometimes difficult emotions and feelings such as grief, sadness, anxiety, anger, are part of the human experience. However, there may be times when you may feel overwhelmed by these emotions, as they can take a negative hold on you and start to impact on your everyday life, influencing your thoughts, mood and overall well-being.

I will work proactively to support you in the development of a better understanding of your situation and how to make healthier choices that may then create sustainable changes to patterns of thinking and behaviour. The aim is to enable you to explore and discover a greater range of choices and possibilities in your life. I will seek to equip you with tools and resources that can support your development of improved psychological balance and well-being alongside resilience. The aim of our work together is for you to enjoy happier and healthier relationships, experience greater self-confidence and achieve goals that have previously felt out of reach.
